Looking for DnD Weird stuff?

My English is not the best, please contact me to fix any errors!

Welcome to Sukystrukys' DnD section!

You're probably intrigued by this iconic RPG!! (Or you're a DM looking for something to show your new players, on Neocities, written by someone who doesn't even speak English well, for some reason, I'm just saying).

Basic Lexicon!

Dungeons & Dragons (D&D):

A tabletop role-playing game and what this guide is about! you probably already know that.

A Dungeon Master (DM):

He is the player in charge of guiding the game, describing the setting and controlling the non-player characters. (be nice with your dm, please)

Lone Wolf

A lone wolf refers to a player who prefers to stay outside of the group and do his own thing. This forces the DM to have to be controlling 2 campaigns at once, which is very stressful.

What is Dungeons & Dragons?

Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) is a role-playing game in which participants "become" characters within an imaginary world. (In other words, they roleplay as their characters)

Through collaboration (DON'T BE A LONE WOLF) and storytelling (from and your local enslaved DM), players embark on quests, facing monsters, exploring dungeons, and making decisions that affect the story!

But for DMs, it's an exercise in creating a world that feels alive and reacts to the actions of the characters who inhabit it, and the crazy shit their players do.

Creating your Character: The species!

PS:Ask your DM what the main theme or feeling of the game is going to be, so you can make yourself a suitable character.

One of the most important parts of D&D is character creation. Having a bad character could ruin the fun (I mean, a character who has nothing to do with your world)

PPS: This part is just an idea. Stats, spells, weapons and other stuff are in the PDF section (under construction :3)

You can choose between several races. Dungeons and Dragons has been around for over 30 years (1974) and there are a ton of races you can create a character wit some of the basic and most common are:

Dragonborn (Not like the one in Skyrim)

Info

As their name says, they were born from a dragon, literally coming out of a dragon's egg. Formed by the dragon gods of your choice to be their servants. They combine the greatest aspects of Dragons with those of humanoid races, to fulfill the will of their god!, Because of this nature, they cannot stay alive for very long. They usually live only 80 years.

Dwarf

Info

Small for humanoids (5 feet or 1.5M), Dwarfs are known for being skilled warriors, miners and metal workers. Like chihuahuas, their compact size does not prevent them from being creatures great courage. They also live about 400 years and organize clans and kingdoms.

Elf

Info

Extremely mystical magical creatures, physically shorter and thinner than humans. They live for about 700 years, they are known for having a long perspective and making good planners. They live (generally) in beautiful places that blend with nature (Doesn't the "Forest Elfs" reminds you of something???) Extremely wise creatures.

Gnome

Info

Another small humanoid, extremely noisy. They enjoy invention, exploration, research and creation. Besides obviously playing, like small humans, but more energetic (I'm not exaggerating about being small (3 feet, 90cm). Their ideals are bigger than their small size, the main concern of a Gnome is to enjoy living as long as possible, with a lifespan of 500 years. They tend to be specialized in multiple things, such as engineering, alchemy, tinkers, inventors... They live underground in wood lands.

Half-Elf

Info

They live in the middle of two worlds. Not really belonging to any of them, Half-Elves possess the best of each world. Human curiosity, inventiveness, ambition, but also a love of nature and enhanced senses. They live longer than humans (180 years), but less than other elves. They are doomed to watch their human friends grow old while time barely touches them, or to reach adulthood while other elves are still children. They stand between 5 and 6 feet (1.5M-1.8M)They tend to be diplomatic (in human cities) or wizards (in Elven forests).

Halfing

Info

Unlike most species, their greatest desire is to have a beautiful place of their own, a home, a place to settle down and stay away from monsters in a peaceful and beautiful place, They are good farmers and bards. Standing 3 feet tall (90cm). The desires of these creatures are mostly practical: basic clothingand simple pleasures of life. By their nature they are quite kind and good friends, they would probably be good hotel owners.

Half-Orc

Info

The most brutal warriors. Known among the elders for being beasts that never stop fighting on the years-long wars. But now, many of them become adventurers and achieve greatness through their mighty deeds. Large and terrifying, half-orcs exhibit a mostly human build, but are more muscular than the average human and have large teeth.

Human

Info

Humans are the newest race, late to the global scene, with a very short life span compared to most other species. Apparently their short lives allow humans to make rapid progress compared to their friends who live many more years. Or maybe they just want to prove something to these races. In any case, humans have conquered construction and trade, being innovators and pioneers of new lands, the other races want to stay close to humans because of that characteristic... Humans are also "more diverse" in all aspects, from morals, tastes, goals, they are more physically diverse than the other races, usually measuring 5 to 6 feet (1.5 to 1.8 M). Even with all the humans advantages, they do not usually live more than a century.

Tiefling

Info

These hellish creatures are, in a way, the children of Asmodeus (Tieflings know that, the destiny of its kind this is product a pact struck generations ago infused the essence of Asmodeus-overlord of the Nine Hells). They are still mostly human, despite having horns coming out of their heads in various shapes (like gasela, antelopes...ETC) They also have tails! These are usually 4 feet long (1.2M) They live in small communities in human towns they usually become thieves or criminals. They are not to be trusted, and they will not trust you quickly. Maybe you could make some friends, with some effort.

Creating your Character: Class

You also have to choose at least one class (don't ask how to play with two classes). Each combination (species+class) offers unique abilities and play styles, allowing you to completely customize your experience. During this stage, you will also be able to define your character's backstory, giving it life and depth.

Barbarian

Info

Barbarians are savages. Their rage springs from communion with the spirits of wild animals. That rage gives them not only a blind frenzy in battle, but also extraordinary reflexes, endurance, and feats of strength.

Bard

Info

Whether a scholar, poet, or trickster, a bard weaves magic through words and music to inspire allies, demoralize enemies, manipulate minds, create illusions, and even heal wounds. Keep them away from dragons.

Witch

Info

These seekers of knowledge hidden in the multiverse. Through pacts made with powerful beings (who could be classified as deities) the witches unleash magical effects both subtle and devastating and collect arcane secrets to enhance their own power. In a campaign I participated in a while ago there was a Witcher who was a cultist of a deity that we had created for the game, you can take that idea.

Cleric

Info

Clerics are intermediaries between the mortal world and the distant divine planes. Clerics strive to embody the works of their deities. No ordinary priest, a cleric is imbued with divine magic. They are often tasked with healing the party and making strong magical attacks channeled through their faith to their deity.

Druid

Info

Whether calling upon elemental forces or emulating creatures of the animal world, druids are the embodiment of nature's resilience, cunning, and fury. To them, it is an extension of nature's indomitable will. These mages are vastly versatile.

Explorer

Info

Far from the bustling cities and towns, beyond the farthest farms protected from the terrors of nature, amidst thick, trackless forests and across vast, empty plains, the scouts keep their endless watch. Imagine them as Boy Scouts! They are charged with scouting (Me, the Braixen writing this, i am boy scout, in fact.) and being the first line of reconnaissance.

Warrior

Info

All warriors share a natural mastery of weapons and armor, and an exhaustive knowledge of combat skills. In addition, they are closely related to death: dealing it among their enemies. It is a class designed for beginners. Easy to use, easy to understand, if it is your first campaign, use a warrior!

Monk

Info

Whatever their specialty, monks are united by their ability to magically harness the energy that courses through their bodies. Whether it be channeled into a stunning display of martial prowess, or a powerful weapon, this energy powers everything the monk does. They wear no armor or weapons, for they do not need them:Their fists and kicks are their weapons!and that's more than enough for them.

Paladin

Info

Whatever their origins and goals, paladins are bound by their oaths to fight against the forces of evil. A paladin's oath is a powerful bond because of its divine nature. It is a source of power that turns a devoted warrior into a blessed champion. It is like taking a cleric, but instead of teaching him or giving him knowledge of deep magic, you teach him how to be a warrior. The magical powers of paladins do not come from study or knowledge, but from pure belief in their deity.

Rogue

Info

Thieves par excellence: they rely on their skills, stealth, and the vulnerabilities of their opponents to gain the advantage in any situation. Their great ingenuity serves them to find the solution to practically any problem. The cornerstone of any adventuring group when it comes to this.

Sorcerer

Info

Unlike wizards and witches, they have an innate magic, conferred by an exotic bloodline, an otherworldly influence, or exposure to unknown cosmic forces. They believe that magic cannot be studied like one studies a language. No one chooses sorcery, power chooses the sorcerer.

Magician

Info

The supreme practitioners of magic, defined and united as a class by the spells they cast. Drawing on the subtle wave of magic that permeates the universe, wizards cast explosive spells of fire, electric arcs, subtle deception, and brutal forms of mind control. They devote themselves to studying the waves of magic in order to master them, which takes years, which is why when you think of a wizard you think of a wise old man.

How does exploration work?

The world of D&D is filled with diverse regions, cultures, and creatures. From vast realms to eerie dungeons, there are endless places to explore. The challenges you face may include fearsome dragons, cunning thieves, and powerful sorcerers. Every encounter is a chance to test your wits and bravery, so get ready for adventure!

(In most cases, your poor, enslaved DM will have made all this environment and space, usually narrating how they move to a place and perhaps with events in between. But this depends on the DM, you will figure out how it will work in the game.)
